Last Wednesday I was at the National Trust's Lyme Park playing on their very sweet, newly restored Gothic Erard harp dating from the 19th century. This harp was once owned by Thomas Legh, who owned Lyme Park, and we were recording some music on the harp by composers Spohr and Parish Alvars. The music will be played in the room to visitors where the harp is on display- looking forward to seeing how the recording turns out!
